Toyota of Japan was building some seriously cool people movers in the early 1990's; so cool that they actually made ice. This 1993 TownAce was not only great for moving cargo and passengers, but it comes with some insane features such as an icemaker. With an efficient gasoline engine, tons of interior room, and RWD, this durable Toyota is ideal. Situated in a segment between the kei vans and full size options like the Delica, the TownAce makes for the best on road driving dynamcis. The exterior is in excellent condition with minimal blemishes, such as the normal scuffs on the fore and aft bumpers. Finished in an eye catching Cashmere Silver Metallic two tone, the body has been well cared for, and the exterior plastics/acrylics look good. The distinctive aerodynamic styling and details such as the yellow-hued wrap around light bar make for a unique road presence.

The interior is in good condition finished in durable grey cloth and has been kept up incredibly for a vehicle intended to transport a gaggle of toddlers. The light gray colored seats are nicely bolstered, and are in above average shape for a 25 year old vehicle. Up front, a one touch driver window and adjustable steering column make the drive a fair bit more comfortable. Fog lamps are equipped making low visibility situations much more safe. Oversize, powered, mirrors provide a good view of objects in the periphery. Power locks and an OEM audio are all easily within arms reach. The dash is in good shape, free of any cracks or discoloration. For those who wish to have a heated or cooled beverage, Toyota has you covered. Their "Cool and Hot Box" can keep drinks at your preferred temperature with the press of a button. The rear seats have seemly endless configurations and the middle row can swivel 180 degrees (rear facing) which creates a limo like experience. A massive panoramic roof slides back to reveal the heavens above for those who sit in the back. Of note, the front portion of the cabin has its own sunroof for ventilation, if preferred. The seating capacity is eight, and despite its small exterior dimensions, the interior is more than adequate to fit adults. This model high roof spec is convenient, and the headliner is in fair shape with normal scuffs. The most desirable options were rear climate and dual sunroofs which are equipped in this particular TownAce, and are functioning. Extra grab handles line both the back and middle rows, as well. It is clean, and the structure doesn't display the least bit of sag, which is common a quarter century old vans. The rear seats fold up and out of the way for increased cargo space if desired. A suite of privacy curtains line the back glass to prevent unwanted glances from other motorists.

The 3Y-EU gasoline four-cylinder fires right up and idles smoothly. This specific four cylinder is known for its durability and with only 79K verified miles, is barely broken in. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and is among the most seamless transmissions we have sold in recent memory. Freeway cruising is much more comfortable than a kei van, and the gearing is much wider by comparison. The front-midship, RWD layout provides adequate fuel economy, and the suspension keeps the car nicely in line over larger road imperfections. The brakes are responsive, and this mid size van stops better than you might expect. An oil change has been performed by one of our trained technicians, and ensures another 3000 miles of carefree motoring. Approach angles are fantastic, and the van has an abundance of ground clearance if you live off the beaten path. This vehicles turning radius is better than average, with much of its maneuverability being owed to its tight wheelbase.

Our vehicles are mechanically reconditioned to a high enough standard that include a completed Virginia State Safety Inspection, with the supporting documentation from a registered state inspector. This TownAce is too good to miss; It's brilliant drivetrain, low cost of ownership, and useful layout make it the perfect turn-key JDM family van.
