Without a doubt, one of the most legendary vehicles Japan ever produced, was the MKIV Toyota Supra. The rounded bodywork is instantly recognizable to both car fanatics as it is your grandmother. Finished in Toyota's most complimentary colors, 202 Black, gives it a sinister look. The exterior has been kept largely all stock, and for good reason. The high rise rear wing is complimented by a power folding chin spoiler that can be automatically deployed at the push of a button. Taking things one step further is the rare factory optional roof spoiler that really completes the look. The paint has been well maintained over the years, free of any notable blemishes. The bodylines are straight and the fit and finish is fantastic. With only 54K verified miles it comes as no surprise. The original wheels have been replaced by a more aggressive set of 17" Advan Gewalt wheels.

The interior has been cared for with the same high standards. Largely all original it has had a few nice additions made. Atop the steering column is a period correct HKS boost gauge to monitor the twin turbos. To the right of the gauge cluster is another HKS Oil Temperature gauge. The cockpit is cozy with all of the pertinent information easily laid out for the driver. The cloth front seats are in great shape with only minor bolster wear on the driver's seat. The rear seats look nearly new, then again this car was built primarily as a proper sports coupe. The seats, carpeting, and even original floor mats are devoid of any rips or tears. Fitted with all the modern power accessories of the time; power windows, mirrors, and climate control. All of the accessories are functioning properly.

"Pop the hood." The heart and soul of the JZA80 is Toyota's iconic 2JZ-GTE. The twin turbo three liter straight six is rated at 276hp/318tq thanks to the Japanese gentlemans agreement. Much like the old horsepower wars of the 60s and 70s that number was downplayed by the factory seeing as the US version was rated for 320 and 315 respectively. The power delivery is intoxicating, the sequential turbos spool up quickly producing gobs of power all the way from idle to redline. The A340E 4 speed automatic does a tremendous job handling the power output. Shifts are quick and precise with little hesitation. The automatic does offer a manual shifting mode as well for when you're looking to have a bit more control over the situation. To make sure everything is up to par a full mechanical inspection has been done. As a result it has four new tires, replaced the oil and fuel filters, fresh plugs, rear pads, as well as a new battery. The factory exhaust produces a nice low rumble, but with the massive aftermarket support for the MKIV there are no shortage of options to open things up. Driving the JZA really is a spectacle, between the power and control it has mixed with responses you get on the street, you really have to experience it. Toyota said it best "The Supra is an emphatic breach of established convention, a race-track inspired sports car has been taught street manners."
