The Z30 Soarer is as cool as it is timeless. A Californian design team was in charge of the exterior shape and it's safe to say they knocked it out of the park. What really makes the Soarer special is not only the good looks, but what lies beneath. Under the sleek exterior design is the same chassis, suspension, differential, and engine layout as the notorious A80 Supra. The engine was a 2.5l twin turbo straight six, and in this case combined with the rock solid R154 5 speed transmission making the Soarer a hidden gem among 90's Japanese sports cars. This 1993 example is finished in Toyota's Diamond Pearl White (051) and sets off this luxury coupe perfectly. The body has been left unmodified and includes a factory front lip. Both the paint and the body are in great condition showing no major damage and only light blemishes from normal use. A set of Forged 3 Piece Italian made OZ Futura's replace the original alloy wheels and while the center caps are missing, the wheels are very rare to find these days. Finally a set of Japanese made Read adjustable coilovers allow you to set your desired ride height and of course aid in stiffening up the handling.

Inside the cabin you'll find a very nicely maintained interior that feels and looks great. The dash and door panels are in far better condition than the average Soarer and are free from any of the typical issues that are normally seen on these interior. The seats are in excellent condition and show only minor signs of use and no major staining. The center console is also in great condition and all of your luxury features still operate properly. The factory radio is currently inoperable however, since the frequency band is different in Japan it would not pick up US stations anyway and swapping out the OEM unit for an aftermarket double din is identical to the Lexus SC300 so wiring and installation is a breeze. The steering wheel has virtually no wear and the digital instrument cluster is well before it's time and looks awesome! Overall a Z30 interior doesn't get much better than this!

When is comes to engines, there isn't a much better sounding and performing option than the 1JZ-GTE. This twin turbo 2.5l straight six is arguably one of the best sounding engines to have ever been mass produced. If that wasn't enough making more power is simple and relatively inexpensive. A reliable 400 whp 1JZ is not uncommon and is tame enough to daily drive. On the other hand the performance out of the box with just simple bolt-ons is more than adequate for most. The intake has been upgraded with a HKS filter and the FGK single exit catback exhaust sounds excellent at any throttle position. Shifts through the 5 speed transmission are smooth with out and grinds. An upgraded clutch has been installed along with a 2 way rear differential which is noticeable on low speed tight radius turns. Power comes on quickly thanks to the factory twin turbos and doesn't stop until red line. A fresh oil change and 4 new tires have brought the maintenance up to date on this great GT car. If you are looking for a fun, fast, manual sports coupe.... this is the one!
