There are many drivers who are bound by a sense of adventure. Seeing our picturesque countryside isn't always accessible unless you have the right transportation. This 1993 Land Cruiser is just such a truck. Powered by a durable and determined turbodiesel, this spacious seven-seater can be used year-round with its legendary 4WD. Finished in a one-off Cloud White, and accented by a set of OEM rainguards and LED smoked rear taillights, the body is in good shape aside from some minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Recently serviced, this eye-catching SUV includes plenty of expensive upgrades and would make for a stellar daily driver or weekend play toy. Offered with a mere 144k verified and documented miles, this practical, reliable, and determined Prado SX is a certified Japanese Classic.

The cabin is surprisingly well equipped compared to what you might expect based on the exterior. In Japan, several upgrades were added. Our favorite addition are the leather seat covers that protect the upholstery from the front row to the third. They look killer and contrast against the white exterior nicely. Lacking any major rips, stains or tears they are a classy yet subtle touch. Other highlights include a Bluetooth-equipped Clairon headunit and backup camera combo. These functions and along with the electric windows and locks which make for convenient daily use. The other handy feature is the climate system and this one blows cold a/c for summer use. The door cards, carpet, and headliner still look good and dark rear privacy tint keeps the harmful rays of the sun off the interior panels. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as this one does have the typical dash cracks that plague these trucks. Still, at its age, it's in wonderful nick. The rear barn doors swing open wide and allow for easy cargo loading. The rear row even conveniently folds away into the D-pillar for maximum cargo room.

What most Land Cruiser enthusiasts love about these KJZ78's is that they are simple to work on, and unlike many new cars aren't laden with electronics and sensors. Widely regarded to be one of Toyota's best-designed powerplants, this truck is powered by the 1KZ-TE. At 3.0L, it creates tons of low-end grunt and easily powers this heavy truck up to highway speeds. The humongous four-banger is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery installed here in the USA. An automatic is responsible for the gearchanges and this one does its job as it should. Shifts are seamless and the Land Cruiser can be driven in 2WD or 4WD depending on driver preference. The hubs can be locked from the cabin and these things are tremendous to drive in the mud and gravel. The brakes are confident and the suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse. Power steering makes parking manageable and the aftermarket wheels are all wrapped in new Falken all-terrain tires. These will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver premium traction when you need it most and we have aligned her to boot!
