1993 Toyota Hilux Surf V6

The Hilux Surf is a safe bet as far as Japanese imports go. When purchasing, it's important to consider the costs of ownership and ease of finding parts and service. This 1993 features the same drivetrain as our stateside 4 Runner models and is offered with a mere 44k verified and documented miles. Finished in Evergreen Pearl, the body is in good shape aside from some loss of luster on the roof clear coat and a few minor dings, scuffs and touch ups to note. A factory brushguard and front rainguards compliment the polished alloys and oversized tires. Believe us, this Surf can easily back up it's tough-guy aesthetic. Our shop has taken care of plenty of required maintenance making this rig an ideal candidate for those looking to drive daily. If you love simple, tough, reliable and well-designed SUV's this classic Toyota is a certified, turn-key Japanese Classic!

The cabin has fared well over the years and was cared for in Japan. The view of the road ahead is commanding as this tall truck rides above traffic. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. Aside from a functional JVC head unit upgrade, the interior is just as it left Toyota. Power windows, locks, and mirrors are all standard and work properly. Alongside the adjustable steering column, retractable cup holders and driver's lumbar support, they make this five-seater comfortable for long journeys. The seats are also supportive and are upholstered in a durable gray and blue cloth. Aside from a minor hole on the driver's side seat bottom, they lack any major imperfections. The door cards are also in good nick, but do show some minor sun fade. The carpets and headliner look good and the rear cargo area has avoided major damage in its prior life. The rear privacy tint keeps a lot of sunlight off the interior plastics and also keeps temps down in the summertime. The rear glass also powers down for maximum ventilation if you didn't want to use the ice-cold A/C.

Our technicians have performed plenty of value-added maintenance services for those who care about this truck's mechanicals. The 3VZ-E starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery and sets into a confident idle. It runs smoothly and is fresh off an oil and filter service so that no required maintenance is needed for another 3,000 miles. The V6 breathes a bit better thanks to a new engine air filter and the serpentine belts and valve cover gaskets are all new to boot. We have also overhauled the cooling system in this Surf with a new radiator. one of the most expensive services has been performed, a new timing belt and water pump service will save some money for the next owner and ensure the 3.0L stays running tip-top. The engine is mated to a selective transfer case that offers the driver the ability to switch between two and four wheel drive. The automatic gearbox shifts seamlessly and acceleration is aided with a set of new spark plugs. This hauler gets up to highway merging speeds just fine and sustained interstate cruising is stress-free. The suspension is able to handle the rigors of daily use and is predictable. Plenty of ground clearance helps this Hilux's off-road prowess if you need it. The OEM alloys are all wrapped in new Falken all terrain rubber at all four corners. They look killer and will provide tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip!
