The Toyota Caldina not only makes for a fantastic fuel efficient daily with an enormous amount of cargo capacity but also looks wild. Popular over here in the states with rural route mail carriers; the Caldina is both extremely reliable and easily serviceable. With it's taller ride height it has no issues with whatever the road throws at you. Paired with it's front engine, front wheel drive layout it's more than capable in any climate. The body of this 1993 has been well maintained with only some minor routine blemishes. There are a couple of small dings on the rear hatch, which can see in the photos, but nothing concerning. The two tone green paint has no severe blemishes and just a few light scuffs on the bumper. To protect the front end a factory optional bull bar with Bosch fog lights were added. With many of our vehicles every time you go somewhere people have to stop and ask you "what is that?!" Luckily you won't have to deal with that nearly as often, the Caldina wants to be known, as it's listed 8 separate times on the exterior for good measure.

The interior is just as nice as the exterior, if not better. The two tone seats are excellent shape and have only minor wear. Free of any rips or major stains, the worst of it is only a little bit of wrinkle on the driver's side bolster. The dash is free of any sun damage such as cracks or bubbles. The rear cargo area is exceptionally spacious and includes the factory privacy screen. Unlike many Japanese cars, the rear seats do fold up to nearly double the flat storage space. All of the power amenities are function properly; power windows, mirrors, and climate control. The A/C is blowing cold to make the daily commute far less miserable in this summer heat. This one is also fitted with the factory air bag which is a rarity.

The two liter 3S-FE power plant provides sufficient power while maintaining excellent gas mileage. This engine and transmission was offered in U.S. vehicles so maintenance is a breeze. Coming in with only 47K verified miles and Toyota's track record of bulletproof reliability, the Caldina is only just getting broken in. The automatic transmission engages with ease and runs through the gears hiccup free. This trans makes it an ideal commuter since stop and go in a manual is a pain. The stock suspension is well sorted making long drives a breeze. The brakes are more than adequate to bring the wagon down from speed without any concern. All maintenance is up to date thanks to a new battery and fresh oil change.
