The GC8 Impreza is really the car that put Subaru on the map, combining four-door practicality paired to a powerful turbocharged engine and surefooted AWD. The lightweight chassis makes for an exceptional driving experience as a daily driver or backroad weekend warrior. This 1993 WRX is tastefully modified, and fresh off a recent service. This sporty sedan is finished in Subarus Cardinal Red (936) and shows well with only minor scratches, scuffs and dings, the worst of which is light corrosion on the right rear quarter common for this chassis. Paired with the factory aero, OEM rainguards, optional skid plate, and aftermarket rear spoiler the exterior has an aggressive look to match the sporty mecanicals. While the mileage is unknown and unverified, due to the upgraded STI cluster, this GC8 was clearly well cared for and it really shows. Practical, fun, easy to service, and highly collectible you can see why these timeless Impreza's are certified Japanese Classics!

The interior is just as well kept as the exterior. Unlike most dark-colored cabins available at the time, Subaru accented the interior with a hint of the exterior body color. The WRX models received special seats with red inserts and larger bolsters to keep the passengers firmly in the seats during spirited driving. The seats are in above-average condition and the bolstering is fantastic. The door cards are also in excellent shape for a car of this age with only minor discoloration on the driver door panel. The dash is free of any cracks or warping and houses functional aftermarket boost and oil temperature gauges. The carpet is free of any major stains as is the headliner, the latter of which is taught and doesn't sag. The power equipment such as power locks, power mirrors, and power windows work and the A/C and heat function well allowing the Subaru to be comfortably used in any climate. The factory head unit has been removed, allowing the new owner to install their radio of choice. This Subaru’s interior was well cared for in its prior life and even retains its carpeted floor mats and original owner’s manuals.

The heart of the WRX is the EJ20G, a 2.0L turbocharged flat-four engine. It is mated to a symmetrical AWD system and real-deal 5-speed manual transmission. Fresh off a recent oil and filter service the EJ20 fires up promptly and idles smooth thanks to new spark plugs, a new knock sensor, and a new 12v battery. The FGK catback gives the GC8 its tried and true boxer rumble that we all know and love without unwanted drone at highway speeds. Our trained technicians also installed a new oil separator plate gasket and new valve cover gaskets while we were servicing this engine to keep the Subie topped up on oil. A new radiator keeps the engine cool and adds some peace of mind for the next owner. The upgraded Ohlins suspension and aftermarket strut tower brace keep the light chassis rigid and makes cornering a blast. While bombing backroads the brakes feel firm and the power-assisted steering is precise. The sixteen-inch PIAA wheels are wrapped in brand new Falken tires providing tons of additional grip and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
