To mark Nissan's sixtieth year since the brands birth, a special edition Skyline was commissioned. In its final year of production, this 60th anniversary edition coupe was meant to showcase all the technology and development of its R32 platform.

Our Series 2 Type-M has been well maintained over the years. The Pearl Black Metallic (732) finish gleams in the light. The coupes already sporty exterior has been tastefully updated. Type M models do come with lower side sills and rear spats, however, the front bumper fascia leaves much to be desired in stock trim. A more impactful GT-R style FRP front bumper, with matching amber corner lights, aiding the engine with larger front vents for cooling. Although subtle, a set of lowering springs has reduced wheel gap and improved the cars already good handling characteristics. Ride quality is outstanding, and pairs nicely with this vehicles automatic transmission. Savvy wrench turners can always convert over to the manual transmission, and we offer an option to swap one in using OE components and new clutch (for a surcharge). In addition to a recent timing belt service, a new oil service has also been preformed.

Under the hood is the punchy and durable RB20DET straight six. With only 51K verified miles, this is an extremely low mileage car. The mostly unmodified two liter fires right up, and quietly idles along. A new 12V battery ensures a guaranteed starts through the cold winter months. The Skyline's six cylinder provides plenty of power without being overly aggressive for daily duties. The automatic does an especially good job and building up gobs of torque with selectable modes. The transmission runs through the gears without hesitation making the automatic actually quicker than the 5 speed. The exhaust has been replaced with a more free flowing 5Zigen catback; it provides a nice mellow tone that does not drone at city or freeway speeds. The power band is linear and pulls strong to redline. You can hear the air passing through the charge piping, and Apex'i cone intake, providing a sporty soundtrack to those in the cockpit.

In regards to the interior, it has been nicely maintained, showing minimal signs of wear. The gray door cards and seats are in above average condition, the former being swapped out for alcantara units. The air conditioning blows cold, and the digital climate systems works properly. Both the seats and carpeting are free of any notable stains. The smaller diameter, sportier MOMO Race steering wheel provides great feedback and gives the cockpit a more aggressive feel. The rear passenger seats look rarely used, common with most of the coupes. The R32 had several power amenities standard such as window, mirrors, and door locks, all of which are in order. The dash bubble is present, but in a much smaller size than other R32s.

This legally imported, classic coupe would be perfect for daily duty. Its drivetrain provides plenty of power and refinement-- whether you are sitting in traffic or carving through a canyon road. Its forgiving nature, easy to maintain mechanicals, and timeless styling make this 60th Anniversary a great deal.
