Nissan's Y32 chassis is one of the more versatile platforms to come out of Japan. At only 24K verified miles, this Cedric is one of the lowest mileage examples floating around stateside. This midsize sedan is just as at home winning awards at the local car show as it is pulling daily duty. This 1993's clean lines and sporty exterior were years ahead of its time. This particular example has an updated interior trimmed the Gray thatched, executive, cloth with an exterior finish in Greenish Silver Metallic (WK2.) The paint shows great depth and luster in natural light. The body has been kept in equally high standards with no major dents or scratches. All of the body panels are straight, and look great for a vehicle produced nearly a quarter century ago. They styling was cutting edge at the time, from the Bentley-esque headlamps to crisp, clean lines, this little sedan has aged gracefully.

The interior has been kept up equally well. The Cedric was positioned as an executive class vehicle, which meant it needed a more upmarket design than vehicle stablemates such as Silvia's and Skyline's. The devil is in the details, and the cockpit features include an analog dash clock and a dedicated credit card dash storage binnacle. The seats provide nice bolstering for long drives, and the cloth itself is quite durable. The textured, tweed-like material is easy to clean and more resistant to punctures and tears than most seating material. It's quite clear this car has been well cared for over the years. The condition of these are quite impressive, and they do great on long highway commutes. The rear seats and carpets are in good shape as well, free of any rips/tears or notable stains. Like most, the parcel shelf has slight sun fading, but it is hardly noticeable. The climate control does take some getting used to, due to the Japanese lettering, but is quite easy to use and it is fully digital. The A/C is functioning as it should, and blows nice and cold. The interior illumination is easy to read, and the cars interior controls work properly. A cool fact about the Y32: they feature special B pillar opera lighting that looks incredible at nighttime, and give the cabin a very upscale look.

Power comes thanks to Nissan's 3.0L (VG30E) V6. Of the three power plants Nissan produced for this chassis, this is the most fuel efficient. Its low cost of ownership is desirable to many, and the lack of sophisticated components makes the engine bay much easier to access and simple to work on. A new engine air filter has been fitted, and a oil service ensure that this V6 is up to date on maintenance. As to be expected, the Gloria fires right up and has a nice even idle. The motor has even torque down low, and pulls smoothly up to highway speeds. The exhaust is quiet, and many noises and vibrations are sorted out through the chassis and suspension. The automatic transmission engages with ease and shifts smoothly when moving up and down the cogs. The transmission has selective options for snow, normal, or sport driving, which changes up the shift points and provides a different driving experience based on the drivers needs. Like any proper grand tourer, the suspension is very well sorted, and we have installed a set of adjustable Godspeed coilovers to improve ride quality, and give the new owner some ride height options. New rubber has been installed all around, mounted and balanced by one of our expert technicians. The distinctive profile is further enhanced with 19" Anhelo Corazon Chimera wheels, tucking nicely in the wheel wells. The brakes do a great job of slowing this midsize sedan down, and gives decent pedal feedback.

If you are looking for a multi-purpose, unique ride, it doesn't get much better than this. The Nissan Cedric Gran Turismo Ultima is the perfect turn-key Japanese Classic!
