The Mitsubishi Pajero is a well-designed diesel SUV that first came out in 1981. In 1991 Mitsubishi updated the Pajero and came out with their second-generation model. The two-door Pajero was not as common as the four doors and is definitely unique looking. A perfect example of a Pajero two-door is this 1993 that just came into our inventory. Boasting only 138K verified and documented miles, it’s only barely being broken in. The body is in good shape showing the normal wear and tear of a 25+-year-old vehicle with the usual dings and scratches. The Blue and Gray two-tone finish is captivating while the 15” Enkei HR 385 Wheels add an offroad look to the SUV. Also equipped are the OEM rain guards and OEM Mitsubishi fog lights which are in good condition and ready to use. A two-door SUV that’s ready for its next owner to enjoy whether daily driving or used for weekend cruising.

Inside the cabin, one can tell immediately that this vehicle was well taken care of. Normally on 25+-year-old vehicles the dashboard is lifting, bubbling, or cracking in areas, but this Pajero is a great example of how its prior owner took good care of it. Lacking any issues this dashboard is in good nick, while in the center of the dash is mounted the fully functional OEM field monitor. When driving around the Pajero feels as if it’s towering over traffic with its height, all while having a full amount of visibility thanks to the large windshield. Maintaining a comfortable temperature inside the cabin is the automatic digital climate control ready to blast cold a/c or hot heat at the push of a button. For the rear passengers, there is climate control for them to regulate temperatures as well if it’s not to their comfortability. The OEM radio is also fully functional although limited in the number of frequencies it can pick up stateside. Whether daily driving or just cruising around on the weekends the soft-to-the-touch cloth upholstered seats will make drives comfortable. The seats are all in good condition lacking any major rips, tears, or stains but the rear left seat is starting to split at the inseam where the plastic and cloth meet. Just as for the seats the carpet, headliner, and door cards are all in good nick as well. Power windows and power locks are easily used with a single touch of a button and are fully functional. Sadly the power mirror function isn’t operating but the mirrors can be adjusted manually.

The 2.8L 4-cylinder Diesel engine is running strong and turn-key ready thanks to our technicians' fresh oil and filter service. Mated to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission driving is a complete breeze. For the more adventurous types, the 2WD can easily be switched to 4WD getting one through tougher terrains or inclement weather. A benefit of the Mitsubishi 4WD system is that it can be switched from 2WD to 4WD up to 60MPH or 100KMH! No other competitor SUV has that ability. The adjustable suspension makes sure the ride is as firm or soft as can be, depending on the driver's preference and need. While conducting maintenance the front right hub was tightened up, and new front brake pads were installed allowing the Pajero to come to a complete stop quickly and easily. Handling is responsive and comfortable and traction is at the maximum amount with the 4 new mounted and balanced Falken tires on all four corners giving tens of thousands of miles of life. Whether adding to a current car collection, driving it just to get away on the weekends, or as a more fuel-efficient daily driver, the next owner is sure to enjoy this Pajero every time they're behind the wheel. A true example of a certified Japanese Classic and worthy of the title!
