Many view the 90's as the heyday of Japanese automotive design. So many manufacturers cemented their legacies during this era, and Honda was no exception. This 1993 Honda Civic exemplifies the brand's commitment to quality, performance, and aesthetics. This beautiful EG4 is finished in an upscale (B62P) Captiva Blue Pearl, a very desirable color for this model. The body is in good shape other than some minor chips and dings associated with normal use. Sporting some classy performance and interior upgrades, this 126k verified mile Honda would make for an ideal daily driver or weekend warrior. Legally imported, well cared for, and recently serviced, this stunning JDM Civic is a Japanese Classic you won't want to miss out on!

The interior is in above-average condition and utilizes quality materials and top-notch ergonomics. This example is largely unmodified inside the cabin except for a Bluetooth-equipped Pioneer headunit, a set of Razo aluminum pedals, and a new leather shift boot. The audio quality is decent as this model includes rare and desirable Gathers Audio speakers. A surprising amount of power equipment is standard including functional power-folding mirrors, electric locks, and windows. It even has an OEM optional power parking pole that still works! The dash is in good nick, and lacks any cracking or weather replated fading and distortion. An automatic climate system, an option only offered in Japan, is included and works as it should. The buttons are large, easy to read, and the system is intuitive. The upholstery is trimmed in a soft blue cloth. Lacking any major rips, stains, or tears they are comfy on long cruises. The carpets and door cards are clean, and the interior plastics have held up well over the years. The rear seats fold down flat for a larger cargo area and the rear hatch opens wide to accept more sizable stowage items. That not to say the interior is perfect as the driver's side visor hangs down slightly and the headliner is lightly scuffed. Still, the cabin is in above average condition overall and was obviously well kept in Japan.

The drivetrain is what you'd expect from a Honda. A smooth-running D15B VTEC four-banger powers the front wheels. It turns over quickly thanks to a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service.  It sounds killler thanks to a one-off polished exhaust that deepens the exhaust tone and frees a few ponies. All 130hp is sent through a slick-shifting five-speed manual gearbox. The transmission shifts as it should and the little VTi is actually pretty peppy. The light curb weight surely helps with acceleration and the gear ratios are perfect for our cities and highways. This platform also returns impressive fuel economy as well. Sitting on a set of Tein Flex Z coilovers, the little hatchback responds quickly to steering inputs. Another benefit besides the lower center of gravity is the more aggressive aesthetic this low-riding Civic exudes. The grippy little Honda also slows itself down to a deal halt in an impressive fashion. The braking performance is above average and the bronze 16" Work Emotion are all wrapped in new Falken rubber to promote proper road adhesion. These will last for years to come and do a wonderful job of quieting down road noise.

Honda's of this era are highly collectible, and getting tougher to find in Japan. For those who value reliability, build quality, and attention to detail, this '93 VTi is a sure-fire bet!
