The Y32 chassis was one of the preferred luxury cars in Japan, so there's no wonder why they've become to popular here. This particular low mileage Cedric is a great example why. With only 33K miles it's hard to believe this car is 25 years old. The paint and body have been kept up quite well. There are two spots to note, there's one spot on the hood and a small bit of touchup paint on the rear bumper that can be seen in the pictures. Otherwise the Grey Anthracite Pearl (KK0) has been kept in great shape with a deep luster. The body has been kept up just as well, all of the gaps line up nicely and the doors close with that gratifying thud. The boxy lines make for a unique profile that you can't quite put your finger on, because of that people constantly have to stop and ask you what it is. While this one has been kept all stock, these do look mean lowered on a set of wheels.

Much like the exterior, the interior is all stock and in excellent shape. The grey cloth hardly shows and signs of wear! The driver seat bottom has a small cut that the previous owner had sewn up (see pictures.) Otherwise the seats are free of any notable rips or stains. Since it has such low mileage the driver seat is also free of the traditional bolster wear and the back seats look as if they've never been used. For it's time these came rather well appointed from the factory. Power seats, power folding mirrors, locks, windows, automatic climate control, even the hill brake is electronically assisted. All of the power functions operate as they should, including cold A/C. These really do feel like modern day tourers.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 3 liter V6 (VG30DET) to make it a proper grand tourer. The VG fires right up and offers ample torque down low to help fill in while the turbo spools. Boost comes on pretty quickly and makes for great midrange power making it a blast on the highway. The automatic shifts in and out of gear easily and is responsive to throttle inputs. The factory suspension on these rides well but doesn't feel like a boat when you want to have a little fun. Also there are coilover options out there for those looking to drop things down a bit. It's hard to beat out a car as clean as this one that brings so much to the table. The Y32 has day-to-day practicality, mixed with it's own distinctive design, and is overall sporty enough to forget you're driving a luxury sedan.
