We love trucks that exude machismo like this 1992 Land Cruiser.  Finished in a one-off custom Mojave Gray Metallic, and accessorized by front and rear metal bumpers and a set of OEM rainguards, the body is in good shape aside from some normal wear and tear associated with normal use. Boasting a powerful, efficient, and smooth 1HD-T turbodiesel, and full-time 4WD, this overlanding all-star includes tons of power equipment and plenty of space to move around. Freshly serviced and legally imported, this tough 80 series VX Limited is a turn-key Japanese Classic is a year-round hauler that is built to last!

The cabin is massive and includes seating for five adults. This truck is high on refinement and includes a functional power sunroof, digital climate control, and upgraded touchscreen Eclipse audio. Other updates include a wood grain steering wheel from a newer model Cruiser and a wood grain shift knob. All these items work, and additionally, this Land Cruiser includes power windows, locks, and mirrors. The keyless entry actually works on the truck and the driver benefits from an adjustable steering column and CoolBox refrigerated center console. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding thanks to the Toyota's tall ride height. An altimeter and compass sit atop the windscreen. The dash is in good shape aside from an inch-long crack that has been obscured by a cellphone pad. The gray and blue alcantara seats are in wonderful shape and lack any major imperfections such as rips, stains, or tears The material is still soft to the touch and long cruises can be had in comfort. The headliner has a few light scuffs to note, and the carpers and door cards look good for the age of the vehicle. Privacy tint surrounds the rear of the vehicle to keep temps down in the summertime, and the a/c blows cold currently.

The powertrain used in this example is legendary. Toyotas venerable 1HD-T straight-six powers this example, and is fresh off an oil and filter service. The 4.2L starts up promptly thanks to two new 12v batteries installed by our technicians. The engine idles incredibly smooth and sounds fantastic thanks to a custom exhaust that was done in Japan. The cluster reads 8k miles, but they are unverified. Torque is fed through a selective transfer case that includes the option for low gearing. The automatic gearbox shifts properly and this heavy truck doesn't have any issues getting up to interstate speeds and safely merging. Unlike most of the SUVs we sell this one also has functional, column-mounted cruise control if sustained highway trips are in the cards. Procomp shocks do a nice job of sorting out all the potholes and road imperfections and can handle the rigors of daily use without an issue. The power steering is light which allows for easy parking and the brakes can confidently slow this sled down when required. The Mikey Thomspon alloy wheels complete the look and are all wrapped in new all-season tires. The new rubber will provide endless grip in inclement weather conditions and last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
