Stock #6095
Stock #6095This 1992 Skyline GTS is one of the last of a dying breed, and as the R32 chassis approaches over 35 years since production, this example gets all the more impressive. A practical sedan with a robust RB20 powerplant and bone-stock mechanicals, this Skyline is a true time capsule, racking up a mere 95k verified and documented miles from its stint in Japan. Finished in Gun Grey (KH2) the exterior looks the part as well, and is accented by an OEM rear spoiler, fog lights, and some hard to find factory rainguards. Save for a few expected nicks and dings in the paint, and some fading on the front grille, the exterior shows well overall and should please even the most discerning Nissan purist. The R32 chassis is already iconic. Leave it to cherry examples such as this to prove that Nissan made a Japanese Classic for the ages! The interior is in just as good of shape as the exterior and is trimmed in a durable herringbone cloth. The seats are well bolstered, tidy, and have resisted any serious rips, stains or tears over the past few decades. The same can be said for the sweeping vinyl dash. Typically prone to sun damage and distortion around the glovebox area, this dashboard has withstood the rigors of daily use and is in above average shape overall. The same can be said for the door cards, and the plastic trim around the center stack. Logical in design and easy to operate, the digital climate control unit is ripe with Cold A/C and hot heat, and the adjacent US compliant BOSS audio functions as you'd expect, with Bluetooth on hand to soundtrack your drive. All four power windows unfurl with ease and the power locks and power folding mirrors are in good operating order as well. If we were to criticize anything, it would be a couple dimples on the dash and a cracked shifter trim but overall, this is far above what you'd expect from a cabin 32 years young. We've even retained the factory spare! The RB20DE under the bonnet is a tried and true powerplant and ours has loads of good service performed to get you on track for the road ahead, including a new timing belt and water pump to keep this 2.0 running healthily for the next 10 years or 100k km's! A new fuel pump, sock, and fuel filter keeps your petrol contaminant free, and a new 12v battery and oil and filter service were performed for good measure. For a naturally aspirated mill, the RB20 has plenty of get up and go and shifts are seamless through the 5 speed manual gearbox. The drivetrain was given a decent rehab to pass VA state safety inspection with flying colors, and both front upper control arms and rear hicas arms were replaced to keep the suspension compliant. The stock struts can handle the rigors of rougher pavement nicely and the power steering is light and easy to navigate. The brakes on this GTS clamp down hard and we wrapped the factory alloys in fresh all-season rubber. Knee deep in tread, the new Falkens ride like a dream and should keep you planted to the pavement for miles and miles to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
