1992 Nissan 180SX
Just when you think you have seen it all with the S-Chassis the industry continues to evolve and new products are still being released 30 years after its introduction. This 180sx is a perfect example of that. The Japanese company RuCar's Select have recently released new "GT Spec" aero for the 180sx and this is one of their demo cars they built in house. Their aero is Japanese made and fitment + quality is very good for FRP products. This unique 180sx is without a doubt a head turner with style oozing from every angle the exterior features RuCar's Select full aero GT Spec package including the front bumper, headlights, front fenders, side skirts, rear over fenders, and rear bumper. This package makes for one super aggressive style and is well executed. Since their products are FRP there are minor waves and imperfections in the panels and fitment is not as tight as OEM parts, however it is excellent for aftermarket FRP parts. A bright set of Rays Gram Lights 57D 18 x 9.5 +12 wheels complete the aggressive exterior look and fitment is on point.
The interior is nice with some quality modifications as well. The drivers seat is a Recaro SRD which is in great shape with the exception on a small hole in the bottom cushion. The passenger seat is a Bride Brix and does have some wear on the inner bolster and a rip in the fabric. Luckily since the rip is on the inner bolster it's not quite as noticeable. Overall the dash is in good shape however there is a crack above the gauge cluster, a common issue with S13 interior. The door panels are both in great condition with only minor wear. The rear seat and trim panels are all in good shape and the trunk interior has been removed. An aftermarket steering wheel has also been added along with a Greddy boost gauge and aftermarket radio.
Of course you can't overlook the quality mechanical modification to match the killer looks and with only 70k original miles to boot! The SR20DET engine starts up promptly and idles with a low growl emitting from the 5 Zigen catback exhaust. A Greddy front mount intercooler fills out the bumper opening perfectly and supplies a steady stream of cool charge air to the intake. A HKS intake and Blitz BOV have also been added. An aftermarket rear differential helps keep power to both rear wheels and Tein Flex coilovers make handling much improved over stock and provide the ability to set whatever ride height you desire. A 5 lug conversion allows for the massive Rays wheels to bolt up and S14 Silvia 4 piston brakes supply additional stopping power when needed. Maintenance is up to date with a fresh oil change and a new battery. Overall this is one super unique 180sx and is a blast to drive!
