If you want to explore this country's great expanses we recommend doing so in a Mitsubishi Pajero. This 1992 turbodiesel features a rare factory leather interior and a third row! Spacious, accommodating yet tough this rig is built to last. Finished in a Cashmere over Brown Two-tone (S22), and accented by a Ralliart brushguard, the body is in good shape aside from some minor dings and chips associated with normal use. Recently serviced and legally imported this capable and affordable SUV is a certified Japanese Classic.

The cabin is distinctive and includes several upgrades over a regular Pajero. Three full rows of leather coddle those within the cabin and these rare hides lack any major rips, stains, or tears, The rear row can even tuck away and be stowed on the D-pilar for maximizing storage space. A massive panoramic sunroof is another desirable upgrade but it no longer retracts. Its lets plenty of natural light in so the cabin feels much larger. Other power options include electric windows, locks, and mirrors. These all work as they should and the driver even receives a tilt-adjustable steering wheel. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding and the dashboard lacks any cracking or distortion. A Kenwood head unit replaces the OEM one and works as it should. It even has inputs for iPod and auxiliary functions. The headliner, carpets, and door cards have all held up well over the years and resisted major abuse. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as the compass and thermometer no longer work and the digital climate control system currently doesn't blow cold.

The mechanicals are one of this model's strong suits and this truck is powered by Mitsubishi's workhorse, the 4D56. Fresh off an oil service this four-banger starts up promptly with a twist of the key. A new engine air filter has been installed to maximize fuel economy and help the four-cylinder to breathe easier. Two new 12v batteries aid ignition and the engine is mated to an automatic gearbox. It shifts seamlessly and the selective 4WD system was much more advanced at the time of its production than other competitors. It features the ability to change between 2WD and 4WD at speeds up to 62MPH and also includes a locking center differential. The factory adjustable suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and feels confident on a bevy of different road surfaces. The brake sand power steering feels like a modern SUV and the split five-spoke silver alloys are all wrapped in new all-terrain rubber. We even changed out the spare to boot. These new tires will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and provide plenty of year-round grip when necessary. We have also had the truck aligned to promote proper tire wear.
