This clean go anywhere SUV is rugged and reliable. Built to withstand the rigors of the Dakar Rally, Mitsubishi designed the drivetrain in the diesel powered Pajero for more than just utilitarian purposes. It has competed in and won the rally on multiple occasions. All of which gets passed on to consumers as likely the most reliable drivetrain Mitsubishi has ever built. The best part is, even though the diesel powered versions were never originally offered in the US, now they are and you can own this one! This 1992 example is finished in a Red Pearl (R25) over Silver Metallic (M84) factory two tone and has just 75K verified miles. The exterior is in very nice condition and has clearly been well maintained over its ownership in Japan. Of course there are some minor door dings and rock chips that you would expect from a 27 year old vehicle, but they are minor. Up front you'll notice the factory installed brush guard and OEM yellow fog lights that look killer against the red exterior. The OEM rain guards do show some sun fading but are overall in good condition and solidly mounted. The roof rack is also a factory optional piece and is spacious enough to carry just about anything, while still allowing the use of the OEM sunroof. Out back the factory door mounted spare tire adds to the rugged look and all 5 tires have been replaced with new Achilles rubber. All of these features add up to one handsome looking SUV, more capable than most offerings on the market today.

The interior is well laid out and clean. The cloth seats are comfortable and in great condition minus one small hole in the drivers seat. This model features the optional third row seats which function great and lift out of the way when not in use for additional cargo space. The factory floor mats are also included in the rear of the vehicle. The center gauge display is another option only available in the Japanese market and features an Altimeter, Inclinometer, and Thermometer for assistance while adventuring. The main cluster displays all of the normal functions and includes an easy to read drive wheel display lights up which wheels are sending power to the ground in any of the various transfer case settings. These selections are 2WD High, 4WD High, 4WD High + Locked Differential, or 4WD Low + Locked Differential all of which can be changed on the fly at speeds up to 60 mph! The only modification to the interior is an aftermarket head unit which has both USB and AUX inputs.

The 4D56 diesel engine needs no introduction, but in case you've never heard of it the term "indestructible" has been used frequently to describe it. These go anywhere and go forever engines have been happily serving their owners with trouble free ownership since their introduction. They are overbuilt and can take a beating. This one starts right up, idles well, and accelerates up the road without any hiccups. Shifts through the manual transmission are crisp and smooth and the clutch shows no signs of slipping. Our trained technicians have installed 5 brand new tires, performed a fresh oil and filter change, and a new valve cover gasket ensuring you'll not need another service for quite a while. This Mitsubishi is ready for your next adventure to the grocery store or in the wilderness!
