The diesel-powered 80 series Land Cruisers are loved by Toyota enthusiasts worldwide, and rightfully so. They offer a spacious cabin, rugged styling, and unrivaled reliability. This 1992 HDJ81, is offered for sale with a mere 152k verified and documented miles. It is powered by the unstoppable 4.2L 1HD-T mated to a capable automatic transmission, and 4wd transfer case. Originally finished in Dark Bluish Gray Metallic (183) it's been resprayed in one-off Omni Black that was done in Japan, and is set off by a factory brush guard, skid plate, IPF Foglamps, LED tail lights, and OEM rainguards. The paint is in fair condition aside from a few light scratches, dings, and scuffs, associated with regular use. Recently serviced and legally imported this Toyota can dig up the trails, while still being a dependable daily driver. Turn key and ready to rock, this recently serviced Japanese Classic wont last long.

The spacious cabin comfortably seats five and leaves plenty of leg and headroom for all. The momo steering wheel, fitted leather seat covers, and wood-accented dash modernize the interior adding a more luxurious feel. The upgraded Clarion head unit is fully functional, and simple to use providing entertainment on long drives. The carpet and headliner lack any notable stains or wear, aside from minor lifting to the sun visor fabric. With the addition of the aftermarket privacy tint the cabin stays much cooler in the summer months and pairs well with the aforementioned black leather seats. The driver benefits from power locks, power windows, and a working sunroof. A fully functional climate control supplies heat on demand and the A/C blows cold at the moment while also delivering chilled air to the optional cool box. That's not to say the interior is perfect. The door panels have held up well over the years with no major damage, however there is some light wear on the driver side. The dashboard is in fair condition lacking any bubbles, although it does have a few notable cracks due to UV exposure, additionally the gear selector shows some wear consistent with most vehicles of its age. Still, at 25 years of age, it's impressive how well it's held up, and it was obviously cared for in a prior life.

Under the hood is the 1HD-T a 12 valve 4.2L straight six turbocharged diesel which supplies gobs of torque. Whether you're merging at highway speeds or you find yourself in a sticky situation off road this engine is plenty capable . Fresh off a recent oil and filter service the engine fires to life with the turn of a key, thanks to two brand new 12v batteries. Mated to the 1HD-T is a firm and precise shifting automatic transmission, and 4wd transfer case. The 3 inch lift, centerlocker, and Bridgestone CV wheels wrapped in brand new Falken all-terrain tires make this Land Cruiser a weapon off road while still being pleasant enough for daily use and sustained highway driving. While behind the wheel the steering feels tight and the brakes are firm. This 80 series is ready to tackle anything you can throw at it on or off the tarmac.
