Mitsubishi broke the mold with the Delica Starwagon. When you think of vans sold here in the US, they are typically maligned by cost-cutting measures, front-wheel drive, and bland styling. The Delica is anything but, with its massive ground clearance, 8 seats, torquey turbodiesel, and trusty 4WD. This 1992 is an absolute show stopper and is finished in a Mystic Black Pearl (X08) with a light silver two-tone. Offered with a measly 134k verified and documented miles on this chassis, the body is in great shape. Accented by a polished OEM front brush guard, privacy tint, aftermarket rainguards, and period-correct graphics the imposing exterior is in good shape aside from the normal scuffs, dings, and chips associated with normal use. For those with an adventurous spirit, this useful and practical ride would make for an ideal overlander, company marketing machine, or unique daily driver. The interior is spacious and filled with power equipment. Easily able to seat eight occupants, this van swallows passengers and cargo alike, with heaps of leg and headroom to spare. The seats are trimmed in a light gray cloth throughout and lack any major bolster wear, rips, or stains to note. The view behind the wheel is clear thanks to a large windshield and tall ride height. The cab-over design isn't just good for visibility, but also maneuverability. Cold A/C blows cold throughout the cabin while the heat is on hand for the winter to come and is fully operable. Although the power curtain controls are inoperable, the curtains are intact and can manually be adjusted to your liking. The rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate controls for their space, keeping all within the friendly confines of the cabin comfortable. Power amenities include windows, locks, and mirrors which for daily use is manageable and are operational. The second row can be swiveled, slid forward, or even removed depending on how you plan to use this van. The 3rd row is removable too, when you need to transport a big payload with ease.

The 4D56 engine is reliable and efficient. It isn't powerful but this off-roader is comfortable hitting the highway for sustained periods and safely gets up to merging speeds. Whether on-road or off the beaten path is your preference, the Delica has your back. Four brand new Falken All-terrain tires are mounted at all for corners allowing for plenty of grip on loose surfaces while maintaining civility on the tarmac. We went ahead and installed 2 new 12V batteries while it was in our shop which will be able to handle several winters to come. With a twist of the key, the 2.5L springs to life and is fresh off an oil and filter service. To maintain the proper engine temps and keep cabin temps above freezing, a new thermostat was installed. The brakes are confident in slowing the Delica down safely and the steering is light for stress-free parking. The suspension provides you enough ground clearance to have some fun on the trails, and are happy to handle the rigors of daily use. The selectable 4wd gives you the option to drive in 2wd to help with the fuel economy or 4wd when the weather doesn't comply. Low gearing is available as well if you plan to get down and dirty in the sand or snow. As a year-round, all-weather transporter it's hard to deny the Mitsu's superiority and the curb appeal speaks for itself.
