This 1991 Toyota Supra “Twin Turbo R” is in great condition and very clean both inside and out. Currently it has 116k original miles and appears to have been very well taken care of during it’s years in Japan. The Twin Turbo R package included features such as a front lip with built in brake ducts, Torsen LSD, Bilstein suspension, larger sway bars, and Recaro seats. It also introduced a rare color option - Metallic Dark Green. The paint on this example is in good condition with no significant blemishes. The body is in similar shape with no major dents or dings. This example has been kept all original with the exception of an aftermarket radio.
The interior looks great and is very close to mint. The Recaro seats and door panels show minimal wear and have no rips or tears. The dash has no cracks or bubbling, something that seems prevalent with the JZA70 chassis. Featured with the Twin Turbo R package are also a Momo steering wheel and shift knob which are still present.
Mechanically the vehicle runs excellently – the 1JZ-GTE engine starts right away and pulls strong under boost. The R154 transmission, renowned for the ability to hold up to big power, still shifts smoothly. Bilstein suspension provides a sportier ride, but is still plenty comfortable for every day driving.
