In 1991 The Nissan Silvia K’s power plant was switched from the CA18DET to the SR20DET. Along with this change was the switch from two tone color schemes to a single color. This specific K’s is a rare factory two tone and factory SR20DET example that occurred during this switch. The paint is in excellent condition with no significant blemishes. The body follows suit and is straight with no major dents or dings. This model is also equipped with the “Super HICAS system”. The exterior has been kept stock in appearance and currently the vehicle has 79k original miles.
The interior is in similar condition and very clean. The driver side seat has been replaced with an R33 GT-R unit. The remaining seats have light wear with no major rips or tears. The dash is in great shape and without cracks or bubbles. Door panels, carpet, and trim pieces are all present and free of significant stains. However, the rear seat does have some staining.
Mechanically this Silvia runs excellently. The SR20DET starts up right away, idles correctly, and pulls appropriately under boost. A Kakimoto 3” cat-back exhaust system has been added by the previous owner and provides a more aggressive note. The only other modifications are aftermarket front and rear strut bars. Shifts through the 5 speed manual transmission are smooth and the clutch does not slip.
Overall this example is very clean and appears to have been well maintained.
