When the Toyota Sera was introduced it stood out with its futuristic design approach. Now 25 years later it still looks out of this world and turns heads with its butterfly doors and glass canopy. The exterior on this Sera is in great condition with no major dents or dings. The paint still shines nicely and is free of significant blemishes. The rear hatch glass and doors still seal correctly and do not leak. No modifications have been made to the exterior and the OEM projector headlights are still in place.
The interior is also very well maintained with minimal wear. The seats are free of rips and tears; and the bolsters are in good condition. All panels and trim pieces are in place with no damage. The dash is free of bubbles and cracks. The previous owner has added a small tray on the dash which can be removed if requested. Interior panels for the glass canopy often go missing after 25 years but are included with this vehicle. The rear shelf and divider panel can be removed and with the seats folded down, so the entire rear can be used for cargo.
Mechanically many parts are shared between the Sera and USDM Tercel, including the drivetrain, so replacement parts are no problem. The 1.5L inline-4 5E-FHE starts right away and idles smoothly. Shifts through the 4-speed automatic are smooth in all driving conditions. All suspension and brake components are in good working order and ready for immediate use.
Overall a very unique classic that has remained in great condition.
