1990 Toyota Hiace

The time has come to sell our beloved Japanese Classics demo vehicle. It’s a 1990 Toyota Hiace ‘Super Custom Limited’ model. Powered by the same 2.4L Turbo-diesel found in the Toyota Hilux, it’s perfect for cruising around town with friends or an impromptu road trip. It’s been well maintained and had no issues completing a recent 600 mile round trip.

The exterior is in good condition and has a very unique look. Aftermarket bumpers + rear spoiler, HotRod side skirts, and a Street Company front windshield spoiler help provide a one of a kind look. Work Schwert SC2s, 18x9 up front and 18x10 in the rear, pair exceptionally well with the aero. The rear taillights are one-off LEDs and look fantastic.

The interior is in great shape and one of our favorite things about this vehicle. It’s full of extras including a JoyCom intercom system which allows front and rear passengers to easily communicate. It also has 360 degree swiveling middle row seats and rear folding seats. The cargo space is excellent and has definitely helped us when traveling to events. Electric curtains can be controlled for all side windows as well as the rear window. This Hiace has a total of four glass sunroofs. The front and two rear sunroofs pop open and the largest one in the middle is fully retractable. The side glass also pops-out for extra air flow.

Mechanically the van is solid and has been very reliable. We’ve put over 1,500 trouble-free miles on it traveling to events. The engine starts right away and runs great. The lower ride height is achieved via Rancho shocks and lowering springs. We replaced the timing belt, water pump, and fuel pump in Japan right before importation. We’ve also recently replaced the front brake pads with a set of WedsSport pads.

We have a new project planned and would like someone else to enjoy the Hiace as much as we have. Currently we believe this is one of the only Hiaces currently in the country and undoubtedly the most unique. It’s been an immensely enjoyable experience and we’ll certainly miss it.
