Without question the most Iconic Land Cruisers ever built were the 40 series. However, given their age now and lack of modern features they are quite inconvenient to own and expensive to modernize and restore. Luckily, the 70 series was styled after the 40 series while also having all of the modern features that make driving more pleasurable giving you the best of both worlds!

This 1985 BJ70 Land Cruiser has just arrived and is ready to hit the beach, street, trails, cars and coffee, or anything in between. The exterior is in beautiful condition and shows excellent. The paint has been two toned, originally it left the factory as a solid silver, the dark bronze two tone fits the look and theme of the truck perfectly, and would look right at home on a safari. The paint itself appears to have been done extremely well and the metallic in the bronze lower color really pops in the sun. It's clear the previous owner really cared about this vehicle as there is virtually no body damage, major dings or dents, save for a few minor door dings. Aside from the two tone treatment, the exterior remains OEM and includes the optional factory front winch and extended bumper with winch mount and factory winch cover. The factory push bar with OEM fog lights is in excellent condition and adds even more character to this iconic SUV.

The interior is in impressively good condition and again shows how much the previous owner cared for this very cool vehicle. The dash shows no signs of sun damage, fading, or cracking, and even the original factory stickers are still in tact and legible. The seats are in beautiful condition with only a minor tear in the drivers seat which has been previously repaired. The passenger seat and rear seats have only minor signs of use. All of the interior plastics are in excellent condition and are not sun faded. The OEM sunroof is functional and does not appear to leak. The headliner material Toyota used in these trucks wasn't best suited for longevity and while it is in good condition has the typical gummy feel that all of the 70 series Land Cruisers are prone to due to age.

Finally the mechanical aspect of the 70's series SUV's add even more desirability to the already rugged Land Cruiser. The Japanese market received a Diesel option which this vehicle is equipped with. Powered by the 3.4L 3B this was the largest diesel engine available for the 70 series and it known for it's go anywhere, do anything reliability. Along with the rugged diesel engine is a manual 5 speed transmission and 4WD system, which has selectable ranges. Having just 131k original miles, gives you confidence in how well this Land Cruiser has been maintained over the years and it's not uncommon to see 500k miles on these trucks! 5 brand new military style bias ply tires have been installed to give it a classic off road safari look and a fresh oil changed performed to bring the vehicles maintenance up to date. You can't go wrong with this beautiful short wheel base Land Cruiser!
