Many great sports cars have endured the test of time due to its connection with the driver behind the wheel. Those who have owned S-Chassis know first hand what we're talking about and this 1993 180SX is a great example as to why. This particular one is a great blend of sporty yet not too extreme for daily duty. A bit of cosmetic tweaking takes its already iconic design to a new level. An aftermarket FRP front bumper and side skirts play to its already sporty nature and give it a very unique look. The bumper has a very GTR feel to it which is a really cool combination. The aftermarket fitment of the bumper is good but not perfect. Like most all aftermarket pieces it never lays down quite as well as the OEM bits do. Overall though the body is very straight and has survived the past 27 years rather well. The Super Black (KH3) paint looks awesome and has few blemishes to report. Naturally, any car with 90K verified miles will have some stone chips and surface scratches but nothing to write home about. The stock wheels were ditched in favor of 17" split spoke wheels which are showcased perfectly thanks to the Cusco coilovers.

The interior has been kept largely stock but with a few aftermarket touches to make your daily drive a bit more enjoyable. A leather-wrapped Nardi wheel and matching shift knob brighten up the interior. On the flip side, like all S13s, the dash has its issues. Since it's such a common issue there is a Shevron dash mat to try and clean things up a bit. All of the carpeting, door panels, and headliner show particularly well which is refreshing since they can be common problem areas. While purpose-driven, these do have some modern conveniences like power windows, mirrors, door locks, and automatic climate control. Both driver and passenger seats are quite comfortable and in overall alright shape. There are some discolorations and small picks/holes but is free of any tears or seam blowouts. While all of the wiring is present the radio has been removed, but most everyone pulls them in favor of newer and more US-friendly radios anyways. While simplistic in nature everything is well laid out and within arms reach. It really keeps the driver in tune with the car at all times.

Under the hood is the only proper motor for the S chassis, the SR20DET. Mated to a 5-speed manual makes it the ideal setup. The aluminum two-liter fires right up with a bark through its Fujitsubo catback exhaust. On the other hand, once you put your foot into it all that changes. The SR is a real screamer under load while at the same time not driving you crazy with highway drone. The motor pulls strong to redline and the turbo spools quickly. Thanks to its open intake and Blitz Super Sound blow off valve the turbo makes all the right noises under load and when you lift off. Those Cusco coilovers and strut tower brace keep the suspension and body in check on the backroads. The 5-speed transmission shifts well with no grinds and shows no signs of clutch slippage. Once touching down here our trained technicians have given the 180 a little refresh to get it ready for its new owner. Several routine wear items have been replaced; four new tires, the pilot bushing, and a routine oil change. The S13 built its reputation on being a swiss army knife; it can do just about anything you ask of it. They're light and nimble while being powerful and composed. This 180 flaunts all of those strengths while giving you some room to really make it your own.
