1990 Toyota Hilux Surf SSR Limited
We finally have another Hilux available now at Japanese Classics. This 1990 Hilux Surf is in good condition with just 61,000 miles. The 2LT turbo diesel makes the already dependable “4 Runner” that much more reliable. Combined with 4WD and 5 speed manual transmission, this SUV is extremely versatile. The Japanese model comes equipped with a factory altimeter manual idle adjustment and a host of other neat features never offered on the American version.
The exterior is well above average for these trucks and has been well kept during its 25 years in Japan. The medium red pearl paint still shines nicely with no major blemishes. The clear coat by the rear hatch does show some wear. The body is free of any major dents or dings. On the right rear bumper under the mudflap there is some rust, however that is the only noticeable rust were have found. The vehicle is 100% stock and makes for a great daily driver or starting point for your own build. Inside the interior is in very good condition and the red interior pairs very well with the exterior. The driver side seat does have a small hole on the bottom portion, but otherwise the seats are in great shape. All panels, trim, and dash are undamaged and have minimum wear. The windows are all power and function properly including the rear glass.
Mechanically the Hilux is sound and ready to go. The 2LT 2.4L turbo diesel starts up right away and runs well. The 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly and switching the 4WD between HI and LOW is easy. The A/C blows cold and power steering works properly. The timing belt and water pump are brand new and were recently replaced. We’ll also be replacing the clutch prior to the vehicle leaving our facility.
Overall a dependable SUV ready for any adventure.
