The iconic Nissan 180SX is a fantastic example of a fun and versatile platform. From bone stock to heavily modified, we try to bring a wide variety stateside and they sure do sell quickly! Our latest addition is a 1993 Nissan 180SX finished in a Pearl White (WK0) with some tasteful modifications and full aero. Aside from some minor dings and scuffs, the body is in good nick, although at some point in the car's life the hood was replaced with another OEM one. Fitted with some sexy FRP and a few updated suspension and power mods, the aesthetics are pleasing and the performance is even better. Packing a potent SR20DET and rear drive, this tasty little sports coupe is what every S-Chassis enthusiast is after. Legally imported and recently serviced this Japanese Classic is worth the wait and can be yours today!

Inside the cabin, you will first notice the red MOMO steering wheel that catches your eye. Installed to promote better grip, it provides some nice feedback and adds some nice contrast to the cabin. Mounted on the side of the cluster housing, you will find a Blitz boost gauge so you can keep your eye on the manifold pressure when driving spiritedly. It works as it should and looks at home in the cockpit. A Greddy Oil pressure gauge has also been installed to keep everything safe. Looking at the headliner reveals no sags, stains, or tears and the door cards are intact still. Diamond audio crossovers are custom mounted on both sides of the door to power the speakers. An Eclipse double-din radio was chosen and powers on but does not work at the moment. The driver-side seat has been replaced with a supportive Recaro reclinable bucket seat. The material is in fine shape and the stock passenger-side seat is clear of any major rips, holes, or stains. Nissan had some quality issues in the 90s when it came to the dash and that is a model shortcoming to say the least. Although there is a Shevron dash mat covering it, there are the typical cracks beneath it to no one's surprise. Power windows and locks are operable as they should be, and electric mirrors are standard. The power-folding function no longer works, sadly. As expected, the rear seats are intact and look almost brand new with little to no wear. You can squeeze two people back there but realistically for these sports coupes, it's more likely to be used for extra storage. The hatch portion is in great condition and the carpet shows no rips or stains. The back windows have privacy glass to help keep the interior temps down in the heat. The A/C no longer blows cold so that keep that in mind.

There is no question that the SR20DET is one hell of a motor and offers plentiful aftermarket support and inexpensive replacement parts. Whether you just want to add a few bolt-ons or a complete teardown, this engine is an amazing starting point. A mere 104K verified and documented miles are found on the chassis, which is low for a 28-year-old car, and this one is fresh off an oil and filter service, too. Startup is quick thanks to a newly installed 12v battery that should last for the next four years. A Greddy air filter was installed to help the motor breathe and let's be honest, it sounds cool under acceleration. The redtop SR20 sounds throaty through the 3" downpipe and cat-back exhaust. The turbo spools quick upon acceleration and has no problems revving up to redline without hesitation. To deal with oil cooling an auxiliary oil cooler sits tucked away under the front bumper. Power is sent to the rear wheels thanks to the 5-speed manual transmission that shifts well and is geared just fine for our stateside roadways. The clutch is silky smooth and shifting gears are simple without any grinds or slop in the shifter. Although the OEM suspension performed very well taking on everyday driving, the previous owner decided to swap it out for Apexi N1 coilovers. These are ride height adjustable to bring the body closer to the ground for a better overall stance and allows this 180SX to corner flat through the twisties. To complement the dampers a Cusco rear strut tower brace was installed and keeps the rear structure tied together. The hydraulic brakes are responsive and confident and the near 50/50 weight distribution allows for this S13 to hunker down rather than tip forward when on the clampers. The black 17x8.5 JNC Mesh wheels look aggressive and are all wrapped in new rubber at all four corners. They will provide plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come, and keep the ride as quiet as it can be for an S-Chassis.
