1996 Honda CR-V AWD

The CR-V was Honda's first crossover utility vehicle and the nameplate is still going strong to this day. This 1996 is finished in Cypress Green Pearl (G82-P). Our example includes plenty of expensive and rare factory upgrades including front and side nerf bars, tinted rainguards, chrome rear spoiler, and stylized spare tire cover. The body is in good shape aside from some minor dings and chips associated with normal use and notable repairs include a new hood. Equipped with plenty of power amenities and safety features, this efficient and useful five-seater is fresh off a recent service. At only 56k documented and verified miles, this little Honda is barely broken in. This AWD ride can be used year-round and is known for its minuscule running costs and easy-to-find maintenance and repair parts. Legally imported and ready to rock, this CR-V is an affordable and reliable Japanese Classic you won't want to miss!

The cabin is in good shape overall and was cared for in a prior life. The original owner's manuals and service booklet are still in the glovebox and the two front OEM carpet mats are included in the purchase. The view of the road ahead is clear and thanks to this platform's taller ride height and because of this, the RD-1 delivers better visibility than your average sedan. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracks or distortion. Unlike most vehicles of this age, the CR-V is equipped with optional front dual SRS airbags. Soft gray cloth seats are comfortable on long cruises and in good nick. Aside from a small hole on the passenger side seat bottom, they lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The OEM head unit was ditched for a Navi-equipped AddZest model. It works properly and even includes a remote controller that is mounted on the dash. Large climate control knobs are easy to grasp and the a/c blows cold. Power windows, locks, and mirrors are all standard and work as they should, with the exception of the power-folding function. The headliner is clean and the door cards are in good shape.. We did want to note some light carpets stains but that is expected on a car of this age, frankly. Other cool interior items include the front collapsible tray table with four retractable cupholders and the factory picnic table that acts as a false floor in the boot. Rear privacy tint completes the aesthetic and keeps the harmful rays of the sun off the interior plastics, which are still looking decent at this point.

This Honda shares its mechanicals with the stateside version of the car, so it's one of the best imports you can own from a convenience standpoint. Powered by the B20B four-cylinder, this CUV is efficient and peppy. We have changed out the oil and filter and installed a new 12v battery which will last for years to come. The 2.0L idles confidently and is connected to an automatic gearbox. Gear changes are seamless and this crossover easily gets up to highway speeds. The suspension has been improved with a new right-front inner tire rod and can the system can reliably handle the rigors of daily driving. The right rear ABS sensor required replacement and we took care of that while it was in our shop as well. The brakes are confident and the OEM alloys are all wrapped in new all-season rubber. These tires will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and quiet down the ride noticeably.
