Exploring the breathtaking landscape of our great nation would be so much fun in this 1995 4WD Toyota HiAce. Recently refinished in one of Toyotas' most popular TRD colors, Desert Sand (4Q2), the paint is in good nick aside from some light dings associated with normal use. Offered with a mere 64k verified and documented miles, the peppy and efficient 1KZ-TE turbodiesel makes quick work of the occasional mountain pass, and is fresh off a recent service. Boasting a plush cabin with plenty of space and tons of electric amenities, this unique van would make for a cool kid hauler or killer camping rig.
This massive cockpit has tons of room to swallow eight occupants and their gear. This Super Custom also has some desirable electric factory options we don't see all the time. The most impactful is the suite of three sunroofs that cover the top of the van. The front is manual and the back two are electric. They work like a charm and add some light and natural ventilation to the cabin. The driver also benefits from electric mirrors, windows, and door locks which make daily use enjoyable. The upholstery is in above average shape for a van of this age and is still soft to the touch. The gray seats have some colorful, textured highlights and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The middle row can swivel 180 degrees and face the rear bench. The rear bench is fixed in place due to the cabling being bound, so it no longer slides fore and aft. The rear climate control system is simple to use but has been disconnected. It still manages to get warm in the cabin; it just takes a touch longer as the main system functions properly. The carpets, door cards and headliner look fine and have resisted major abuse over the years. The tailgate lifts to 6' for cargo loading and the side door has a soft close system that pulls it shut to reduce battery drain.
There are plenty of 4WD van models to choose from when looking for your RHD hauler, but very few are as civil on the tarmac as this KZH106. The refined ride quality pays dividends around town and on the highway, which is likely where the van will be driving most of the time. It runs a full-time 4WD system that is linked to a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox. The engine is legendary and the 3.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service. Stab the throttle and the eight-seater gets out of its own way without breaking a sweat. You can safely cruise at sustained highway speeds and the low-end grunt is ideal for getting off the line. One of our trained techs has given the driveline a bit of a refresh and a hub service and new front axle boots have been installed while it was up on our lift. The power steering is helpful for city parking and the brakes are confident and stop this HiAce with ease. The refinished alloys are incredibly light and are all wrapped in fresh all-terrain rubber. The new Yokohamas reduce the amount of road noise that filters into the cabin and look tough, to boot. They will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver all the year-round grip you need, no matter what surface you happen to be driving over! We did want to note that this Toyota has passed its Virginia police state safety inspection but the vehicle does have points of corrosion we are happy to disclose and it has been taken into effect when pricing this van.
Fun, eye-catching and practical, this HiAce adventure van is a really special ride. Refined and reliable this cushy 4WD model is a turnkey Toyota awaits its next exciting chapter and is ready to conquer and explore!
