1993 Toyota 70 Series Land Cruiser

This 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SX is the real deal. Offered with only 139K verified miles, this rig is powered by Toyotas legendary 1KZ-TE turbodiesel and a stout 4WD system. Finished in a one-off Shadow Black, the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use. Best of all, for the off-road enthusiast, this J78 is equipped with the optional lockers and rides on new Falken rubber if the going gets tough!
The cabin is roomy and much better equipped than one might anticipate. Power equipment is everwhere including a functional, tinted, electric sunroof and power windows, locks, and mirrors. If you prefer natural ventilation, OEM rain guards are installed and reduced in-cabin turbulence when the windows are down. The factory audio was ditched in favor of a newer Pioneer TV/Headunit and it does a decent job of powering the speakers. The steering column is tilt-adjustable and allows for drivers of various sizes to pilot this rig in comfort. Visibility is also above average, and the Prado ride height and small A-pillars provide a panoramic view of the road ahead. The seats are covered with black leather seat covers and are quite comfy on long hauls. They are in good nick and make the interior feel much more upscale. Additional storage can be found in a sizable center console and glove box. The second row is massive, and the headroom and legroom are abundant. The seats can fold forward for a larger cargo area if needed, and the rear barn-door open for maximum loading width. The carpets, door cards, and headliners are in above average shape for a vehicle of this age, and it's obvious that it has been cared for. That's not to say its perfect, as there are some plastic scuffs and a few small dash cracks to note on the passenger side.
Perhaps the best part of this Land Cruiser is what powers it! One of the most legendary and reliable engines ever manufactured by Toyota, the 1KZ-TE 3.0L Turbodiesel sits squarely below the long, slab bonnet. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the engine starts up quickly thanks to a newly installed 12V battery. The engine is plenty powerful and sends power to two, or all four wheels, depending on driver preference. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and the selective transfer case also includes a low gear setting. Factory lockers can be engaged with a twist of a cabin mounted dial, and can get you out of some sticky situations when required. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light and easy to articulate. TEMS adjustable suspension sorts out the bumps fairly well, and adhesion is handled by four new Falken Rubitrek mounted on the silver aftermarket alloys. Even the spare has been changed out if God forbid you need it!
