The Honda Beat is one of those cars that fills a void you never realized you had. It's like the carnival act of cars, it's so small and strange everyone has to stop and stare. This little fun loving convertible was the last vehicle that Soichiro Honda himself signed off on making it a lasting piece of Honda history. The screaming yellow paint fits the car's personality perfectly and has been well maintained throughout the years. There's no fading or clear coat peel with is so common for vehicles of this age. The body has been well preserved free of any notable dents or dings. The car has been kept in remarkably good shape in it's years over in Japan before coming to start it's new life here in the US. Then again with only 43K verified miles the condition comes as no real surprise. The brand new soft top fits well and is free of any rips or tears. Typically soft tops have a tendency to hinder your view a bit out of the back, but with this one there's no real distortion or haze. The only change up that's been made to the exterior is a set of 14" Passage Sport: X Cross Sport 6Light wheels. The two tone wheels are in great shape but do have some traditional scuffs/curbing from being driven. Nothing that a good wheel guy couldn't easily correct.

The interior has been exceptionally well maintained. Most notably a great set of leather seat covers has been fitted over the factory zebra print ones. While the factory print is a lot of fun these add a quality extra layer of protection and flow well with the black and gray interior. To match the upgraded sporty feel a killer leather wrapped Nardi 3 spoke wheel replaces the factory piece. Under the glove box on the passenger side is a newer Kenwood head unit with USB functions making it more useful than a lot of the radios we see come through here. Despite it's size it does have some modern features like power windows and A/C. The both are functioning properly and help for those days when you may not have the top down. The gauge cluster is laid out with all the pertinent information easily legible, with a prominent tach located dead center proudly displaying it's 8,500 rpm redline. The gear selector is in the perfect location regardless of your height which makes it an absolute blast to row through.

Mechanically the car has been left untouched. The mid mounted, 3 cylinder, 656cc engine powers the rear wheels giving it phenomenal overall balance. The E07A is fitted with Honda's MTREC (Multi Throttle Responsive Engine Control) system with individual throttle bodies gives the engine it's trademark sound. With it's high revving nature it really does feel like you're driving a motorcycle with four wheels. Coming in under 1,700 pounds makes driving a Miata feel heavy which is quite a feat. The clutch is very light and forgiving so cruising around town is a breeze. The Honda 5 speed is one of the best factory gear boxes out there and really has to be experienced to appreciate. As always our trained technicians have gone over the car and just performed an oil change on it to make sure it's ready to rip right out of the box for the next owner. These fun loving little cars put a smile on your face every time you turn the key. Plus with it's efficient 3 cylinder it makes a phenomenal city commuter just as well as it does ripping through back roads!
